does anyone happen to know what height the under 21's class is at scope, the one which you dont have to pre-qualify for? cheers.

Hmm I was looking on the schdule and it doesn't actually say, I watched it last year and I would say the height was 1.20m/1.25m possibly going upto 1.30m for the championships jump-off.
Sorry I'm not much help but the 2007 schedule hasn't been printed yet and I can't seem to find my BSJA rules book?!

I think the U21 Championship is bigger than 1.25m tbh...but PM KarenX or Freshman as their children both jumped it last year I believe. Wouldn't be surprised if it was nearer 1.40m actually

cool, thanks, fingers crossed its around 1.25!! not 1.40m only jumping foxhunters, soon moving on to B+C if things carry on well.

its just that iv qualified my novice horse for 1m and 1.05 at scope and its a quite a distance to take one, just makes it more worth while if there is a class i can do on my other horse, at least there is a young riders B+C there if the young riders is stupidly big!

Just been confirmed by someone who jumped it last year that the U21 Champs is a good 1.40m...and a strong class too. Hannah Paul won it on Lucky last year

The B&C YR's is more like 1.25m though so you should be able to do that one

Good luck !

Right I have found out my rule book and this is what i can make out:

B&C Young rider ; Grade B- 1.30m Grade C: 1.25m

National Young rider; 1.35m in first round 1.45m maximum spread. But that is the first round so it will be bigger than that I would think.

Under 18; 1.35m
Under 16; 1.20m

These are not the same classes and so the course specs don't apply.

Also, the B&C YR's is not a handicap class...both grades jump the same course.

The Under 21's is def 1.40m, the YR B&C is 1.25m but not too big or scary, I jumped it a couple of years ago, and it was just like a very strong foxhunter I'd say! Not many horses went that well in it though as it was in the championship ring, complete with flowing water fountain lol.
