Hi,
I am going to Scotland for a week - Fort Augustus, north of Inverness for the last few weeks of August to visit family. In the past my daughter and I have ridden at Drumnadrochit - Borlum Farm, which we always enjoyed - so much so that my daughter used to ride there for three or four hours a day every day for a fortnight/three weeks.
This time she is not going with us and I am hoping to start to get back into riding whilst there -
Can anyone recommend a riding school that will be able to cater for me. I used to be a fairly reasonable rider but following a rather nasty fall three years ago my confidence has taken a really bad knock (not to mention my head (fractured skull), shoulder (cracked) and a** (badly bruised))
Perhaps initially I am looking for a - for want of a better word - 'plodder' just to get me back into riding again.
We have two of our own- one pony out on permanent loan as my daughter grew too big for her and a 17hh warmblood mare that is WAY too big and strong for me so I need to get back into it again before seeing if I have the courage to take it up again long term.
