Was wondering if anyone knows what hunts run new to hunting days around the central belt and if they run them as late as Feb or March??

Since the dreaded *S* word has held off I quite fancy a days hunting but baby pony is only 5 so would rather have a day where it would be for new people so I wouldnt be the onyl one there who didnt know anyone or have any idea how exactly the horse would react.

She jumps well and is mannerly under saddle but is green and doesnt really have a gallop gear so would be slower than all the seasoned hunter types and I wouldnt want to be the only one holding people up.

I know that Fife was running them but didnt know if it would be that late in the season :)

Any info would be gratefully received :) Thank you :D

People are hunting in Scotland, however newcomers days are held at the start of the season to encourage folk to come out throughout the rest of the season. Not much pointa the end IYKWIM!
Where abouts are you in the country? In the 'Central belt' there's only the Fife and Lanark & Renfrew other than that you'll have to go to the Borders or Dumfries areas.
