Scottish Newbie!

Hello everyone, I am new too - been lurking for about a month and have plucked up the courage to speak tonight!

Welcome Veracob!! Your post seems to have got lost in among all these Scots coming to the surface lol!!

Welcome also 'Scottish Newbie' another Scot here, I'm down in the SW in Dumfries and Galloway. Although I don't post on here much these days, just lurk about..... have fun!!:)

Hi, I live in Renfrewshire and work in Glasgow - I keep my horse and my daughter's pony at home. I am a member of Renfrewshire Riding Club too - we always need volunteers to help run events, so even if you don't have a horse just now, joining and offering to help out is a great way to meet loads of people, get to know of any horse for share/loan, and get to know all the yards around.

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you all!

Lucyad - how would I go about joining? I looked on the website but could only find a membership form. Is it possible to come along to an event and have a chat with people about it all before I join? Or is their someone I should specifically contact?

Just come along to something and you could join on the day if you wanted! Or if you wanted to join before attending, say to be eligible to book any of the training sessions, just e-mail any of the comittee members - their e-mail addresses are on the website (in the various events pages - the contact page doesn't seem to be working).

I wonder if the Facebook group might be easier?
