Scottish Peeps - Loch Lomond direction

I am heading off up to Loch Lomond for the bank holiday. We will be driving up on the Thursday night, staying in a hotel then on the Friday night camping round Loch Lomond. Saturday we are staying at some relatives of my boyfriends.

So I can't quite decide whether or not to take the dogs. Is it dog friendly up there, or would I be really missing out on seeing other things on the way up which would not be possible - ie National trust properties.

I suppose it does depend what you want to do but I'd bring the doggies. It's lovely here and lots of great walks around Loch Lomond! At least if there's two of you and you really want to go in somewhere - then one of you can stay out with the dogs.

BTW bring some AVON skin so soft for the midges. Believe me they have FANGS!!!!
