Our horse Paper Tiger won 3 classes with Ruth Edge - elementary open and medium open, and elementary to music. He was such a good boy and tried so hard, even though he must have been getting quite tired by the third test. He did look a bit shellshocked when he came out of his stable for his third prizegiving of the day...We are still recovering from the excitement. And Ruth also won the Novice Open today with her own horse Shadowfax, so it was an amazing weekend. Hoping they do a nice writeup in H&H next week - and photos would be good
you should get a full page for winning 3 classes!! well done the pair of them thats a fantastic acheivement but do remind him he is an eventer and not purely a poncey dressage horse
He looks a lovely horse in his photos- am assuming he's by Java Tiger?
Also where did you get him from- only I broke in a very similar looking Java Tiger horse for my boss a few years ago!
Thank you! I know, it does seem unreal sometimes as we bred him - I think it was just beginners luck, as he is the second foal we bred from my mare, and we have never bred anything before or since. I shall go and play my video of it all again now, and relive the moment
We bred him ourselves and have always owned him. He was broken and ridden away for us in Yorkshire at 3 and 4, and yes, he is by Java Tiger. But if you know of any more like him, let me know!
Oh not the same horse!
The one I broke in was at Sarah Bullens down in Hampshire- he was gorgeous- really talented- just dont know what happened to him after he got sold which is a shame!
Good luck with the eventing!
Fell in love with him at a BHS instructors day at Blackdyke (last year?). He was inspirational and made me want to sell my children on the black market and return to proper riding.
Yes, it made up for all the diappointment of not going to Gleneagles last week! He won the elem to music on 78% - not sure of the result in the novice restricted I'm afraid.
78% !! Brilliant what a wonder horse.... I shall have to wait until the end of the week then to find out the results.... hope I have some hair left by then!!!
