Thanks to those asking to see some recent pics of Scrappy. The name Scrappy has definitely stuck....much to hubbies disgusted. He calls her Mary Valentine. Anyway here is a picture journey of the last 9 months. Every emotion felt, do we keep her or not discussions had, we've been optimistic, we've been frustrated but we've never regretted buying her.
I think my big thing is questioning myself whether I'm good enough to educate her properly, not let her down due to my own limitations health wise, be brave enough to get through her being sour and grumpy and a million other things. But all that said I'm so curious how she will look as an adult horse and its that that's keeping me going I think. Long time to wait I know! Today was a good day...I touched/scratched all four legs and picked all 4 feet up with success and calmness from Scraps! Big shout out for her.
So this was the morning after we brought her home from York...I didn't think she'd survive the journey. She look all fluffy and lovely but under that there was literally nothing but bones and lice. I kid you not!

A few days later, still looking a little lost but loving her buddy Tor. He went back to his owner when I bought Lulu.

Someone is starting to look a little more interested in things. She looks happier too I think!

One man and his horse....with shavings!

This is April/May time...she's still underweight but her lice have gone now and she's eating some good grub. I tried to make sure I fed her little and often so I don't ruin her big joints.

She loves to lie down....every morning after breakfast she's on the deck asap!

She's growing and now has a belly.....woo hoo! I thought she might be grey under all that lot.

September time...and she's bright bay!

I like big butts and I cannot lie! lol

October and the most recent pic I have of her...beautiful in the sun.

So there we are, she's 17 month now! Growing like a mushroom both up and outwards. The difference is unreal when you look back...not so obvious when you're with her everyday. I hope you agree! Fingers crossed I can do her proud as she grows...oh and I'd like to not get bit or kicked either! lol
