Im surrounded by blithering idiots
I have sold a lovely young showjumper. Two weeks ago I accepted an offer. Purchaser took time arranging vetting so I rang her vets to get it sorted - it was arranged for last Friday. Horse passed., she could not collect so i offered to hire a box and bring her down the following saturday. At this point she was concerned that the "stable that is being built" so might not be ready. The day before -sorry money hasn't come through yet. Turns out that the money is in a "notice" account. Also no idea yet when it will come through! (but its ok everyone the stable is now ready)
Ok so ive got the horse for another week - my yard owner has got another horse coming next week, so I contacted purchaser to say horse has to go by next sunday at lastest and she will have to now collect as im working and now cannt deliver her.
"oh God!" text message - er? excuse me? were you not actually planning to collect the horse at some point in the next two years?! surely im not being unreasonable to except my horse gone within three weeks of an offer being made, and two weeks after passing vet??? I immediately ask for deposit - which she paid into bank.
last night purchaser put message on Fb - gutted didn't get the job I wanted, my current job is just contract"
Im now worried that she as strung me along and was hoping to sort out a new job etc before taking the horse - im not concerned she doesn't want the horse but is a bit of a dreamer and was hoping I will keep the horse until she gets herself sorted. It seems like she is just stringing me along as she dosent have the money ready, stable ready job etc
sigh
so if anyone wants a 4yr old mare, potential international sj / 1* Be for 4k please let me know! (she also cant ride that well and will only take the mare over a X pole so is bying a horse that far exceeds her ability - dreamer wants to jump 1.30m- only letting mare go to her as she has good support/teacher)
Next problem - transport.
I have another BE horse that I want to start for March. So I need to get her out. twice now I have hired a transport company and XC course, twice the company have cancelled due to other jobs.
needless to say I now cannot trust to hire them to potentially transport the "sold" horse and have just wasted a weekend trying to get my other horse out. I cant do it next wekedn as working, so am gutted that all this time is being wasted
Please please tell me you know of a reliable transport service or self hire 3.5tn lorry company in Leicester? Ive looked everywhere and am fast losing my faith on humanity!!
