I am the proud owner of a new (expensive!) saddle but I am bit miffed that it is being scuffed by the leathers. It is cleaned regularly (twice a week atm) and the scuffing is improved with the application of saddle soap but soon scuffs again and looks unsightly. Has anyone got any tips to get it looking better?

What are your leathers made of? daft question but synthetic on leather is a really bad combination. Also some leather is not actually as good quality as it should be for the price you pay and the colour comes out as well as the surface becoming rough. the only way to sort it is to really feed the leather - not with neatsfoot but with a leather food.

For everyday use try a wooly saddle cover, the leathers sit on top of the cover and don't touch the saddle. I had the same thing with a half suede and it did make a huge difference.
