My lurcher has really bad scurf (well, I just call it dandruff) over her back, especially towards her tail. Her skin seems alright and the vet's never found a problem, so I don't think it's a medical condition, just dandruff - but because she's black it shows up really badly! I'm hoping to take her to a show in June (Best Veteran

) so I want to have it sorted by then so she looks her best! Bathing her doesn't remove it, just makes it worse, as does brushing her. I've got a stripping comb for removing dead hair which I use on her often - it makes her fur lovely, but it just brings loads of scurf to the surface where it sticks and won't brush off! I've tried using a stable rubber, my hand, various brushes and combs, shampoo etc to remove the surface scurf but it just sticks. Also, she absolutely hates being bathed because she is terrified of water, so I don't like to do it to her too often. Does anyone know of a medicated dry shampoo or something that will sort out the problem without subjecting her to lots of scary baths?

Thanks for any help you can give me!
