Scurfy mane

My horse has a scurfy mane and a little bit of scurf in the tail. I have treated him with Coopers, I washed his mane and tail the other day with dermoline insecticidal shampoo and all of the scurf came out it was like dandruff stuck in his mane, but 2 days later I can see a build up of scurf again in his mane and tail.
Does anyone know of what I can do or use to minimise or get rid of it?

Pop some oil in his feed.

Ralph has this problem, I tried all the fancy stuff at Frogpool and then tried head and shoulders......it works

Yes, I have done that, any dandruff shampoo from the supermarket will do - and it works.
