I'm looking for a stallion for my 15.3hh ex BSJA Irish TB but would like something quite local. Ideally I'd like a homozygous sports horse type for her but the one I liked is too far away. Does anyone know of anything in my area? Would also consider an RID or CB or similar, most importantly I want good conformation and a gentle, calm disposition.

There are loads around here!

Goshka Ringo is at Whixall, near Whitchurch; google him, he'll come up, very smart; Bananaman's yearling is by him.

Not guaranteed to throw coloured but very often does is Bazaars Texas at Embla Stud, Newport, Shropshire (just off the A41 so easy for you to get to) no website but number is 01785 822221. He's a great competition sort, CHAPS Graded, a very good jumper, whose grandsire was Dallas. They also stand pure (but not graded) Irish Draughts, Embla Alfred who I'm using and Maurice Minor, both cracking sorts. I've had foals by all of them before and they've all been useful athletic types with great characters and temperments.
A nice TB is Street Music who is on Anglesey and a nice warmblood is Fulton, standing at Westpoint Stud near Oswestry (they do have a website and stand several lovely stallions there.

I'm sure others will suggest a few more I haven't even thought of!

I second the vote for Ringko, he isn't the prettiest horse, but throws really well made youngsters. You could also go and look at Twemlows, there's such a wide selection of horse, I wish it was close to me.

Theres country farm stud (think thats what its called) thats in lancashire, home to country top gun, nice horse got a lot of bsja winnings, reg kwpn, reg chaps ect, think hes about 16hh. They have quite a few stallions on there inc coloured, showponies, appaloosa's I.D ect. worth a look

Just had a look at Ringko, he is so uphill on that picture it's amazing!!

I know there is a RID in Mold called Ebony Hill. My sister and I were going to look at him, for next year though!

Thanks everyone! Had considered Ebony Hill as he is quite near my mum's house. Do like the look of Ringko though and yes...great uphill paces! Much needed for my always on the forehand mare lol! Not sure but I think Twemlows supply Ringko through AI?!! Thinking AI may be best for my mare as she is never obviously in season and doesn't mix particularly well with geldings either. Think Ringko would be a nice cross for her

My mare doesn't really have any obvious conformational faults, she is a typical Irish bred and has a superb front for a TB too which I wouldn't want to lose. She is in the left and centre pics on my signature, although they are not the best of pics and she's a tad overweight

I'm looking to get something with a bit more bone and a quieter disposition and less sharp but that looks good and maintains her movement and boldness over jumps, colour would be a bonus too.
