I've owned Paddy for around 9 years. he is a 16.1hh fleabitten grey irish draught x thoroughbred and is aged between 25 and 30. we bought him from a lady in Rhyl, Wales who was selling him on behalf of his owner. Prior to being with her he was said to of been owned by a riding school in Rhyl however I don't know the name of it. the lady also believed he was ridden (and possibly bred) by somebody in the Cheshire Hunt however i'm not sure how reliable that is. From looking at his suspensory ligaments he has been jumped endlessly when he was younger as he is very down on his back fetlocks (our farrier and vet have never seen a horse that down on his fetlocks as he is). It looks like he may of had a injury in his hip also as he has always been very stiff there since owning him. He also has the habit of windsucking making me think he may of been stabled a lot when younger along with the fact that he loves his 'stable comforts'. when I've ridden him he knows how to work in an outline and knows his job making me think he's been well schooled in the past and really loves to work. With him being so old and being on 'borrowed time' I would love to know what his past life was like before he came to us for his retirement. If anyone does know anything or think they might do please contact me, any information would be much appreciated for this much loved horse Please look at images that have been attached in the link and i'm also going to try and post some pictures on my profile however I don't know if it'll work :L https://www.facebook.com/emma.davies.58726/media_set?set=a.1587480655589.2099281.1492986770&type=3
