I'm ever so confused about my 11 month old whippet bitch.
A week ago today we were out walking with friends. There were six other male dogs on the walk along with my spayed collie bitch also so eight dogs in total.
They travelled in the truck together fine and the first 20 minutes of the walk were straight forward. However 20 minutes in it completely switched. Five out of the six male dogs became obsessed with my whippet including one neutered male. Chasing her around, trying to mount her etc. some of the males who have lived together their whole lives even became a bit aggressive with each other. I had to pick her up and carry her as we were in the middle of nowhere by this point.
She had showed no signs of being in season and they were fine in close proximity in the truck, for the first 20 minutes playing etc. can being around dogs bring a bitch into heat? This was a weak ago and she is certainly more moody than normal but still showing no signs of bleeding. Her vulva seemed slightly swollen but this has gone down again?
Do bitches have seasons with no bleeding? I want to get her spayed three months after her first season but can't be sure this is it!? So confused!?
