I was going to get an Acavallo one but I'm not sure it will be delivered in time for endurance now. Can't find them locally but I can get a Heather Moffat one locally.

Will the HM one work on a forward cut jumping saddle (monoflap)? Anyone have both think I will regret going for that instead of the Acavallo one?

I literally just want a softer seat as saddle is rather hard for endurance!

I'm not sure about the fit for a forward cut monoflap saddle - but I love my HM seat saver & it's hands down the best one I've bought :) x

Have you contacted HorseHealth http://www.horsehealth.co.uk they may be able to help you if you provide them with measurements and perhaps a picture of your saddle.
What size is your saddle. I think the large would be ok for an 18". I purchased one but the large was too small on an 18.5" saddle ; the pommel head wasn't cut back enough on the saddle for the Acavallo to fit! They are looking into making a larger one for the larger saddle and a reversable type apparently.

Thanks. I phoned horse health and if its not delivered tomorrow they refund the £12 saturday delivery charge so I am going to cross my fingers it will come in time. Its pictured on an Antares/butet jumping saddle (I think) so was hoping it would fit mine. I wasn't sure about the HM one as its more for dressage isn't it. Worst case scenario I can go and try the HM one on if the Acavallo doesn't come/fit. Or I will just have a very sore backside on Sunday yet again lol. My own stupid fault not ordering it quicker, don't know where the week went!

The saddle is 17.5":

I'm pretty sure it will fit your saddle if you are getting the large size. Are you getting the gel out?

my HM has fitted anything I have chosen to put it on in the last 14  years! :D can be a little stiff to start but will mould with your bum heat ;)

eta just noticed you went for other option!

Thanks. I've gone for gel in and yes large. I ummed and ahhed for ages but decided I don't really need stickiness (the saddle is exceedingly secure) and thought the gel in looked less hot :o. Fingers crossed I've made the right decision. I only intend to use it for endurance as the saddle is fine for normal jumping and hacking, its just when it gets to the two hours of fast work stage it feels a bit ouchy!
