Im looking for a second hand dressage saddle but all the ones I can find are really expensive. Does anyone know of any where I can get one from. It doesnt have to be brilliant its just for me to start with, After avoiding it all way through my childhood, Ive recently got in to dressage and really enjoy it. I would like to see if a dressage saddle could help me with my position. At the moment I am riding tests on a very bouncy ISH in an event saddle and Im not sure its doing me any favours. I dont want to buy a expensive one until I know its something Im going to stick with but all the usual websites such as ebay are all very expensive, some synthetic ones are going at the same price as they are new. So any ideas would be really appreciated.

Have you tried the British Dressage website? There's a whole section for tack. Again, many of the good brands are still quite pricey second hand, but there are also bargains that crop up. I found myself a nearly new reasonably priced Wintec Isabell on there recently for my youngster.

Keep your eye out on ebay for a Bates Caprilli Dressage saddle. I bought one last year and its the best saddle Ive ever ridden in ;)

I would say BD lots to choose from - I have one on there for sale. You don't say what size/width you require, I am sure I am not the only person on here with a spare dressage saddle!

If u find a make you like, have a look on preloved as they usually have some good deals on there. Also eBay occasionally.
If you are looking for something cheap, I would look at thorowgood or wintec Isabel werth as they are alterable as well. I love ideal Jessica's which are relatively cheap but they cant be altered.

I would encourage anyone looking for a saddle to preferably work with a good fitter or to deal with a company that will allow you to take saddles away for trial, IF you know what you're looking for. Fitting isn't rocket science but it's an art and it's too easy to get it wrong. Also what suits one rider won't suit another, let alone your shape of horse! And don't think that a changeable headplate means it will fit:
