second hand show jumps/blocks/poles

where is the best to get secondhand shows jumps, poles and blocks from?

looked on ebay but all too far away from me and also not many 2nd hand only new.

is it easy to get second hand jumps?

need to do more grid work but need more jumps!

Hey Mole- Re Poles- I found that in SCATS- they sell poles (probably for fences etc) which are about 10/12ft long for £3.91 each! they are wooden, and hefty, but given a pot of paint they will last, you just need to sort out some transport as they won't fit in a car

we prob have similar to the scats poles (from mole valley) pot of paint and they are good.

it might be worth checking with local riding clubs/pony clubs if they have any old wooden stuff that they don't use or isn't technically 'safe' anymore. We got a load of old wooden stuff that was going to be burnt cos it had slats missing on the wings etc. The road closed has now finally rotted and they are a bit heavy as wooden and we have now treated ourselves to some plastic ones too. We have had the would be burnt stuff for 4 years and most is still fine we just made sure that we checked any nails etc were removed or banged in.

apparently the insides of carpet rolls are good for poles and we got some black salvage poly pipe through dads work.
