So since giving upo horses and selling the 4x4 I have had an old Ifor Williams 505 sitting around, it's a 1996 model and has the old wood floor which will need replacing, I have 3 options -1- get the scrap man to tow it away probably get about £150 for it, 2, sell as a project providing a receiptand disclaimer regarding the floor, or 3 get the floor fixed and put the price on the sale.

Not overly keen on 3 as I will most likely end up out of pocket, option 2 I'm not overly sure on a price, I have a figure in my head but wondered what others would be prepared to pay.

TIA.

People are really into projects just now and it seems to be the in thing to make them into snack van/camper van type things! I
I've seen some old battered rice's going for nearly 1k... they hardly look towable some of them but once done up are selling for 8k!

For example... This doesn't even have a floor!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174303142204

I sold my old Bahill (similiar to Rice) for £400 as a project. It was half painted, needed a new floor and some wood panels replacing on the internal walls . The bonuses were that the tyres were all new and the brakes had just been replaced.

A neighbour was looking for an old trailer to store showjumps in and has given up as all the older project ones are getting snapped up. I'd sell yours as a project asap!

I paid £275 for a very old Bahill, and £800 for a newer but still old Rice treble. A 505 which needs the floor doing is probably worth about £800. If its otherwise totally sound, brakes still working well and been serviced then it will be a bit more.

Its also for sale with no bids as its advertised for at least £600 more than its worth. Mine with front unload and takes 2 x 16.2hhs so a big trailer, in better nick than that went for £150.

The bigger, older trailers sell reasonably well as people make catering vans out of them. They strip them right out, usually replace the axles etc and couldn't care less about the floor. Ifors arent popular for this though. And that old Rice on eBay is too small to be of serious interest to anyone

Better than I thought!! I will pop it up for £900 and make sure the fact the floor needs replacing is written on the sale reciept.
