Does anyone know where I can get second hand galvanized water trough from. Or a cheap new one. My horse has no water except buckets in field and winter will be a nightmare but I am on a shoe string. Live Bucks area

will fill by hand although not ffar to go there is a water supply about 50 metres away. However need to do buckets daily and am on full livery but dont really like him not have unlimited to water. though with a water trough I could fill at weekend and keep topped up without doing daily

Robinsons do field troughs that you can fill by hand - they're not massive but easy to move and survived a scottish winter and will keep you going a couple of days at a time

I have something similar but was looking for maybe one of those metal ones that hold a lot and I can fill just at weekends, at moment a bath and 2 buckets but worried about freezing etc.,

This firm do galvanised troughs of all sizes I think they start around £60 for metal ones .Not cheap but really good quality and will deliver .They can free stand or they can be plumbed in at a later date if required They are in the south of England
You could look for a farm auction and try to pick up a secod hand one there although the last farm sale I went to didn't have much .I think with the credit crunch people are making do and hanging on to stuff rather than replacing with new.
