Second scan - all very exciting!!

Just had second scan on mare - didn't see last year but today I got to see the little embryo swinging about in its sac. A small thing but very exciting indeed! Due 28 May 08 - an eternity away.

Mare in foal to local stallion but has gorgeous foal at foot who we bred las year see piccys attached (if it worked ok).

Want to show the foal so comments appreciated. Think she will turn out much darker than she is now.
Mare is rescued ex grade A, WB by Lucky Boy, Stallion Yorkshire 'Low Moor Makanakay' is WB X TB (May Sherif lines).

PS for those who gave advice about keeping weight on the mare, vet says I'm being paranoid and she looks fine. (she's right).

Lovely mare and foal well done.

My mare is waiting for her first scan to see if she is in foal so i'm bitting my nails!
How many days pregnant was your mare when she had the scan you have just referred too ?

Aw they're so lovely!

It's lovely to see the foal in it's sac, I nearly cried when I saw mine had a heartbeat at 23 days, (I'm soooo sad - I wanted a print off pic! lol

)
