My little yearling was gelded 2 weeks ago, and although was fine to start with, has since developed a secondary infection and is on a course of antibiotics - he's quite swollen, very stiff on both his back legs and generally very off colour and depressed - poor little chap!
The vet has looked at it again and given him more antibiotics advising it's a secondary infection - hopefully they will start to work quite quickly, but in the mean time I am just wondering who else has suffered a similar experience, and how much worse it gets before it tends to get better - feel so sad and helpless for him at the moment but would be good to know if others have suffered similar and how quickly and hopefully easily they recovered!
