I am thinking about getting my section a a saddle ready for his prospective rider, but I can't get my head around what size he will need. ( or for that matter what type)

What do you guys suggest I should be looking at? he is 11.1 and takes a 4'3" rug.

Any help & advice greatfully recived as I am more used to dealing with TB's not section a's.

Depends on the rider ie tiny tot novice etc to what type of saddle you could go for, a cub saddle? or a little gp or even a little show saddle probably dep on size of pony etc about 14" but depends on the pony

Cub safari saddles are brilliant for teenys and fit all ponies, they have adjustable pads underneath.
When my son progressed to needing a proper saddle I had to have one made, none fitted him at all, he had a GFS one made, it wasn't too expensive (gulp) but was lovely.
