i have recently braught a section a 2 year old
i would love to do showing with her she has good breeding.
very well put together i just need a few tips i have only ever done ridden showing not in hand
what do i wear?
what should she look like?
please help

Congratulations on your new pony

Your pic isnt showing on my computer

The pony should be shown natural but you will find that some very careful trimming is done to make the mane and tail look a bit neater, tail should have a natural end on it so 'pointed' rather than squared off, mane even but not looking too blunt

Some exhibitors trim the jaw line or even clip it in winter but some shows have rules regarding this

A single plait left unrolled at the top of the mane shows the jawline off

As your pony is female she should be shown in a white halter as I understand it

You need to wear trousers (though I guess a sensible skirt below knee length would be acceptable) these need to be a dark colour if your pony has light coloured legs and a light colour if the pony has dark legs

A shirt (and possibly tie though not everyone wears one) and a waistcoat or a tweed jacket

Most people wear a hat of some sort, I've seen navy show riding hats, trilbys and tweed flat caps in the ring

gloves, boots or sturdy shoes and a cane

Well I am quite new to it myself but she looks very pretty and has a lovely face

What is her breeding?

Bronllys isnt a name I recognise but like I said I am new to this too!

Looking at the pedigrees of some Bronllys ponies there are some very well known ponies in their breeding so I would imagine yours would be similarly bred - a good buy if that is the case!

she went through Haye on Wye sale as a foal and made not a bad price :)
Be nice to see some pics, whats her breeding?
edited as just looked at pics, tidy her mane up a little and I will be shot down but for showing she needs a bit more condition
