Does anyone have any ideas/tips how to secure a leisure battery in a feed room?
I'm planning on setting up the yard lighting to run off the battery, but we have quite a few people around the area who like to take those kind of things. We've had a generator and a solar electric fence charger pinched previously.

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

There is quite a lot of choice of secure battery boxes that can be fixed to the floor and secured. They're used amongst other things in boats, motorhomes and caravans. That would also keep the battery covered and safe from people touching the contacts and would keep the battery and contacts clean.

ETA, you need to make sure it's a suitable size and config for your battery for safety which is very important. Here's just one example - some are lockable as well with internal fittings.

Thanks very much, I'm hoping as the battery will be smaller than a generator it'll be easier to hide. Even with a previous generator bolted to the floor it went walkabout after a couple of days ??‍♀️

Worst case scenario bring it with you each day. Medium-case, disconnect each time so they cannot follow the wires to find the battery, and hide it well (feed bin with haynet on top, behind bales of straw etc). Best case, buy a fancy thief-proof box and hope it actually works! How is your yard security? Can you increase that to make it harder for them to get on in the first place?
