I am turning my mare out tomorrow for the first time after box rest and wanted to give her some sedalin first (vet recommended). I have a tube of sedalin i got from the vet a while a go to use when clipping her however i didn't end up using it. I have just opened the box to see that i have lost the instructions so was wondering if anyone knew what the dosage guidelines are?

Have looked all over the box and tube and it doesn't say any where and i can't remember what it said.

Will ring vet in the morning if no luck.

Many Thanks

I said i would in the morning, but it seems silly to take up their time when i thought someone on here may have a tube and could tell me what it says!

Hi beatrice... 2 to 3 three mil tends to work for around three hours or so on the average 16hh give it on an empty stomach ideally and leave the horse quiet and alone to chill out for around half to three quarters of an hour after giving...

Also to put your mind at rest it is not possible to really overdose a horse on Sedalin obv no a good idea to give to much but no major side effects... Vet told me that a week ago... good luck with the turn out..

I used it on my horse for the same reason and Im afraid his adrenalin took over and it didnt work. But Im sure its 1ml per 100kg of horse. Saying that 2ml knocked my horse out apart from when we tyrned him out!! and hes a MW 16.2hh
