if they know what their doing, id let them get on with it, there are some mild sedattives to be had, but if you'r unsure in any way, get the vet out.

as in inject the sedatives - or ACP/sedalin!?
if its injecting - get the vet out - wouldn't trust anyone to shove a needle in my 'orses neck that wasn't a vet...
and i've been brought up in the environment were injecting antibiotics was fine to do yourself...so I'm not overprotective...
sedalin/acp - read the info which should be with the drugs and then make up your mind to be happy with doses/amounts/effects etc...
if unsure - ask the vet...
if you can't wait until saturday - have another go being REALLY patient and just get as much of the belly, shoulders and neck off - some is better than none -
and if you can't get her clipped out before you hunt, then just make sure proper drying after washing her off from sweat/mud after hunting...

Sedalin works really well on my horse. I dont think its really possible to over do it either I accidentally gave my horse the whole tube once and he was no more sedated than 2.5ml which is what i usually give him.
If your horse is really bad tho' it may need a vet and proper sedation as some horses can just fight acp and sedalin
