Sedge grass

Mine don't. It's quite unpalatable and grows in wet, marshy areas. Also blimmin' difficult to get rid of without spraying and reseeding. I top my fields regularly (on clay) and thistles, nettles are replaced by grass, the sedge just stays. Luckily I have only a very small amount.

Mine eat it, but just the growing tips generally. But then, mine will leave good grass to eat thistles and brambles, so I may have mistakenly bought goats.

Mine eat just the tops as well - I would get the soil tested as lime might be the answer. Cattle are good for keeping it down and if you can improve the drainage as well that will help. You just have to keep hammering away at it I think.
