Sedlin & riding?

Hi all! Wonder if you can answer a query for me? I clipped my boy today and gave him 1/2 tube of sedalin. I've checked the info and it says that they can't be ridden until 36 hours after being given it - I really wanted to ride in the morning, do you think it'll be ok or should I forget about riding? As I say he had 1/2 tube, he's substantial 16.2hh 6 yr old and it was given at about 11:30am?

Thanks! I thought he would be but I've not used it on him before so thought I'd get a second opinion! It didn't seem to sedate him much anyway!

We have used it on 2yr old tbs when they have been complete nutters to break!!

I would ride without a thought - always ride the day after horses have been sedated via IV, so cannot see why I think sedalin would be any different!

I think you'll be fine we have used small amounts on really difficult horses to back them and they have never fallen over yet..

I'd always give them 24 hours to get over the sedalin & then they are fine to ride.
