Horse:
Best - Buying my new boy the same day i went back to uni in september and taking him with me

!
Worst - Having to sell my little coblet (only 14"3 and was never going to do what i want - still sad thou!) in order to be able to buy my new boy!

horse best- Being either joint 2nd or 1st in the showjumping leader board at my local show center, (Not quite shure wether in joint 2nd or 1st lol) The final is in march so I'm hoping I stay where I am!

Worst- When 2 girls got in trouble with the head at school and I was somehow dragged into it and got in trouble and my mum banned me from seeing/riding nevada for 2 weeks

Horse:
Best - Buying my new boy and he has turned out to be my Mr Perfect (well almost, about 99.9% perfect!!)

Worst - My old boy getting kicked and sustaining quite a bad fracture at the back of his knee. He had such a good year last year too, coming 8th at MK unaffiliated 3 day event.
And his future isn't looking bright....

Best was getting the 2 E's, Elspeth the mini Shet in March and Ebony my old girl who was going to go for meat in June. Also moving house so my ponies are now at home
smile.gif
Worst was Daisy dog escaping and getting hit by a car

I thought she had been killed but she had just been knocked unconscious and has since made a full recovery

Best- Coming 1st in a local sj class. Coming 2nd in our Dressage test after both having a long time off and being told I wont be able to ride the rest of this year.

Worst- My boy doing his suspensory liagment and me breaking my femur (another horse reared and landed on me). Being told by the doctors I can go on my girl holiday to Ibiza and spending 3months learning to walk.

Best - tie between the first time I hacked Belle out on my own (and since then seeing how my hard work has paid off) and getting her on full loan about 3 months ago

Worst - can't think of anything horsey yet as everything seems to have been great so far (touches wood).

Non-horsey best - buying my wedding dress

Non-horsey worst - last saturday when I hit rock bottom and burned out (better now though)

Best- finding a lovely mare to loan and getting my jumping courage back enough to jump 1.10m spread this week. YAY!!
Worst-getting sick from stress in a bad work environment, but I left so it's all good. Glad its behind me.

Great topic! Made take stock of what's generally been a positive year despite all the economic doom and gloom!!

Worst Horsey - Having my beloved Coblet PTS
Best Horsey - Getting a new Horsey & competing again for the 1st time in years.... and winning!!

Worst Non-horsey - Unf so many this year, being made redundant & still not having a job hitting the top of the list (after poor coblet)
Best Non-Horsey - having great friends that know when I am having a low woe-is-me day. to give me a hug/slap/glass of wine etc.... when needed.

Roll on 2010, I'm ready for you, bring it on!!!

Best - my wonderful sunny holiday in a castle...chilling, drinking wine and soaking up the rays.
Worst - my lad getting laminitis in August and the recovery and pain of that for the preceeding months...ongoing but hopefully all still clear for 2010.

Best: It's a toss-up between the day Scooby arrived, and the first time we ever jumped (I went from TOTAL wuss to relatively confident rider in the first few weeks of having him
grin.gif
).

Worst: I haven't had a horsey worst, but in general it was the day I found out that I wouldn't be able to go to uni this year with all my friends. Turns out that even though I was devestated at the time, it was actually the best thing that could have happened and I wouldn't have had Scooby otherwise.

Worst: Duggan,my kind, smart, talented best friend of a horse being killed in March.

Best: It all stank after that. Qualifying for the Nat Driving Champs cheered me up a little, even if only for a short time.

Roll on 2010 and fading painful memories.

Worst - dislocating my finger when I got it stuck in his mane going over a jump in a lesson, spending 4 hours in the A&E waiting room on a Friday night between a drunk letchy old man and an off her face 16 yr old girl sobbing uncontrolably for no reason - yes for four hours (and problably longer, I left her there). Then the next day go to the yard to sort trailer out (left it all hitched up as it was all I could to drive home from my lesson, got OH to pick me up and sort Archie out) only to find Archie hopping lame in the field. Cue 5 months off work with mystery lameness. All x-rays clear no sign of any problem, but a lame horse.

Best - close call between our first ever 2 double clears in a showjumping comp in March (you wait ages for one and then two come along at once!) and him staying soooo calm all day, just a shame he probably won't do it again; getting back on him for the first time in 5 months and my first canter on him for 7 months at the weekend. Thought the ice/snow would scupper it but luckily it stayed away until Sunday night down here.

Best horsey moment- Getting Ted fit and working the best he ever has done.

Worst horsey- Ted being the best he's been in ages, and then not being able to compete him or hack out, as horsebox out of action- Ted then getting COPD badly in September. Also having to muck out Toby, my sisters horse 365 days free of charge, with little recognition!

Best non-horsey- new job is close to home so more time to spend with Ted- guess horse related really. Getting good scores on my MSc in Psychological Research Methods.

Worst non horsey- not getting onto clinical psychology doctorate course.

horse best - taking reserve in hand champion at last show of the season at 17 years young against some good horses and wining inhand senior points trophy

horse worst - not got any i can think off

non horse best - losing 3 1/2 stone with WW

non horse worst - losing my auntie

Best horse related - MY NEW HORSE!! Ive found him!

Worst horse related - Finding our lovely old horse has cushigs.

Best non horse - One of those years, cant think of anything!

Worst non horse - the 3 people weve lost this year.
