I thought I'd be sad and use any excuse to do one
PC show at college today and seeing as Storm has a teeny eye infection and a sore head and if she's okay to ride tomorrow then jump her in a class on Sunday (yet another show being held at the college). My friend let me jump her horse in a class today (2'3" - 2'6"
). I had no Idea how difficult this horse would be to ride (Shire x some other big beastie!), she's totally the opposite to my girlies but she was fab all the same
Anyway, we didn't do too badly, clear in the first round so we went straight onto the jump off where at the second JO fence I tried to push for a long one but she doesn't 'do' long ones but there was no room for two short strides which she tried to put in, I folded forwards because I thought she was going to jump but she didn't
and we rolled a pole, I lost a stirrup and had to circle away from the next jump so got 4 faults for crossing my tracks. I didn't think we did too badly seeing as it was the first time I'd sat on her
Here are some photo's, please excuse the appauling riding
I had no idea I look that bad!
Thise pictures are huge, sorry! Photobucket no longer re-sizes them to normal sizes!
In the stables
On board
Posing with a friend before we started warming up
Trotting
First jump on her
