So much for Jack being lame. On driving along the road to the yard last night I watched him jump the 5-bar gate out of the field from a standstill, canter down into the yard and then commence circling the YO's house - trashing her garden in the process - at full pelt bucking like a complete bronco and noising up everything in their stables. I pull up in the car and get out - call to him and he stops what he's doing and trots up to me with his head almost on the floor. Reckon he knows he's been caught out?

Bearing in mind I trotted him up Monday night - in front of witnesses - who all agreed he still seemed a bit sore on that front left. Horses eh.

Yeah you wait though I'll arrive with tack in hand tonight and he'll suddenly be lame again! Mind you it wouldn't surprise me with his exertions last night - if I even aim him at a 50cm cross pole he acts like there's no way in hell he can jump that high and I end up going through said jump.

Haha yes thats always the way, the second they see that saddle they start hopping like a tripod! I bet he slept well after his little Houdini performance!
