another dumb question, i'm afraid...
Do I need to register my ex racer in his racing/passport name for this? Have started to compete him under a different name...

SEIB run to racehorse comps - showing one qualifies for HOYS and the Performance one where you register the horse and gain points every time you are placed in any competition. In both instances the horse must compete under the name it raced under unless you have documented proof of a name change.

I think so as some competitions require you to prove that they have been in training or have raced. I printed off Avs racing post record for this, and if they are different names you wont be able to prove this
