well, i have had moses for about 6 weeks now, he has picked up lunging like a pro, and will walk trot canter and halt on voice command, he occaisonally gets excited and lets off steam - but hey, that's horses and he's really enjoying himself, so i let him settle and then work him on.
i leant over him a couple of weeks ago and then sat on, he was fine and relaxed with me aboard, i have someone lead him round the school with me on and he's fine with that. last week he had off as the weather was so bad.
i have also been leading him out in hand around the lanes to get him used to traffic etc, his issue is gates!! he grows and snorts once he sees one of these horse guzzling monsters in a hedge! - do you think i should wrap him in bandages, put some beads around his neck and wave a carrot stick in his face
today i got about 100yds from home and thought sod it and got on....... nudge, nothing, nudge, nudge, ....still nothing, so nudge, flick with schooling whip and we wiggled off down the (very quiet) lane back to the yard, nearly walked into the hedge, but once i had some steering we were fine!
