Self indulgent post. My New saddle arrived.

Yeah, today saddler brought my new saddle out to fit on my chunky monkey and it’s luuuuuuurvely.

It’s an Ideal GP Event that’s been made to measure and fits him beautifully.
To fund this gorgeous saddle I had to trade in my Ideal Event

that was my retired nutty chestnuts and the awful Wintec thing

that another saddler came out and sold me for said chunky monkey. Sorry all you Wintec lovers but I’m not the world’s best rider anyway and it really didn’t help my cause!!
The Ideal I had for nutty chestnut did at least keep me in place and made me feel safe when he was having one of his turns!!

The Wintec I felt like I could fall out of at trot and that’s on the steady eddy chunky monkey!!

I now glide in trot, can keep my leg on without it being thrown back and don’t get smacked up the bum by the Wintec!

So I’m really happy.

Sounds v nice

. I bought a 2nd hand Ideal jessica dressage saddle this week and it fits my mare beautifully aswell. can't believe the difference it makes to my riding, had been using a small Barnsby gp saddle which is also v comfy but doesn't support your riding position in the same way. the main difference to me is at canter, i can sit much more securely and it makes the transitions smoother and easier, i m loving it. hope you get loads of comfy riding in yours too
