I took little jockey Daisy riding as usual this morning, but because of the bad weather we had to ride at the field ( too dangerous to take them to the yard).
Well, becasue of fair weather riders !!!, there was only one adult booked for the afternoon ride, so she came early to ride, because there was only one rider, the girls said if I wanted to , I could join in.
Usually I would have said no, but I am sick of my nerves and my new years resolution is to get as convident as I used to be before my accident, so I said yes.
We did a bit of trot, and canter, but my heart sank when they got the jumps out. So I gave myself astiff talking to and I did it, YIPPPEEEEE, I had my first jump in goodness knows how many years, not very high, but got jumping all the same
.
All I need to do now is relax my knees, lost count of how many times I lost my stirrups, I always used to be very relaxed and carry my weight in my heals, so can only guess that all my tension has gone to my knees LOL. Any tips on how to avoid this gratefully recived.
Apologies again but wanted to share.
