Does anybody use a normal self service laundrette to wash their horse stuff? More for the fact that the washing machine's and dyers are bigger for rugs :)

I say self service as for some reason i'm under the impression a laundrette would frown upon me rocking up with rugs caked in mud and smelling slightly grim! :D

I am hoping to buy a commercial washing machine for my garage next year so I can just do my own whenever they need it, but in the interim was musing about using a laundrette.

I do know someone who told me they do this but put them in an old duvet cover so no one can tell what they are washing.

Would I do it? - No. I don't feel it is very considerate of other launderette users. Once had to use a launderette for 3 weeks whilst waiting for a spare part for my washing machine and would not have been happy if all our clothes, bedding etc had come out from machine covered in horse hair. Sorry OP.

I asked at my local launderette and they washed them for me but charged me for an extra wash to clean the machine at the end.
