that's it after another day trying to get my horse to stand still in the trailer so i can put the back bar up. i have to sell my body

and buy a tui bar (£460) unless anybody has a better idea

Train your horse to walk up the ramp on its own, you stay at the bottom, and you put the bar up behind him... Worked with mine anyway...

if i stand on the ramp he likes to stand with me he only go's in if i do. when i go out the back to do the bar he comes out to see where i have gone. if i tie him up he go's mad and panics. its so annoying cos when he has been shut in ready to travel he is quite and well behaved.

That sort of money will buy you a lot of training.

Why not try at least one session with someone reputable - what can it hurt?

have rope already tied in trailer, load in bridle with lead rope and head collar, then as you get clip onto head coller with tied rope in trailer. Leave bridle and lead rope on and hold rope as walking through other other to close up back bar.
They can't go any where as you have then tied at front and you are also holding them by other rope with bit in glob. And if dotry and move back, you can put hand on rump so calm pony down
Do it calmly and slowly and also feed and praise and you save yourself - £460 and only spend out on extra lead rope. Work everytime for 'my steve mcqueen'

Bucket of carrots at front with front bar down (if poss), wait for pony to look in bucket, simple pony mind now focussed on carrot treat (wont be able to think of escape) ..... nip to rear to put up bar, back to front to remove whats left and put front bar up????????????

Or a friend at back of trailer.... you ca buy a lot of friends for £460!!!
