I know this has been done before, but wandered if anyone had any up to date positive experiences and recommendations of horsebox dealers who would buy/ sell an older 7.5t horsebox?

I really need to sell my X Reg (Year 2000) horsebox but I don't have the time to sell privately, nor am I comfortable with strangers on our property.

Thank you.

You say you don't have time....I was told old 7.5t don't sell.
I advertised my Y reg on Friday, sold Sunday to first viewer who paid part cash and the rest by bank transfer then and there and drove it away. I priced it to sell but possibly could have got a little more but a fast sale was worth it.

I admit I was absolutely swamped with queries on the Friday.
I used Facebook marketplace, took good pics and did a thorough description. I was gutted that someone asked me how many cylinders it had as I hadn't specifically addressed that but the engine size actually dictated that-but I didn't know that until I looked it up.

I checked the buyers out on FB and told those with inappropraite profiles (OK, that's my opinion) to go away. Buyers from Ireland are actually genuine but they will probbaly make a slightly silly offer as they have to get here and transport it back on the ferry which isn't cheap. I came down to 2 buyers who were both relatively local and gave the first viewing to the one who contacted me first.

If you have something much pricier eg Oakley with great living its a different market

I sold an older one on EBay. It was a 12.5 tonne, so a bit niche I guess. It was in fair order though.

I sold it unseen, through EBay Paypal, but they came to collect and I got a receipt to say they were happy with it. The sale was no bother. It was very accurately described.

I think both parties got a good deal.
