I have a saddle that I don't need - it's a decent saddle, I'm pretty sure it's a Falcon GP in a Medium width. However it has a bit of cosmetic damage right at the back of the seat, it's like tiny holes in the leather where the seat drops down to the cantle. As if something was spilt on it, but I suspect it's more likely from being stored in a garage for years. The leather isn't compromised (i.e. it's not massive holes, just marks a few mm wide) and it wouldn't be visible with a seat saver on. I want to sell it but I don't know if any saddle selling sites will accept something that isn't perfect - any ideas? I can't face putting it on Facebook, and anyway that doesn't seem to work very well as a means of selling decent-but-average leather saddles. It's a shame because it's a nice saddle otherwise, just not at all suitable for my current horse.

Send them over the form stating the damage and they normally get back to you pretty quickly. If it's a model they sell a lot of they'll probably take it, I do know some that won't take saddles that are over 10years old though.

Oh thanks - maybe it's not quite so hopeless as I'd thought then! I'll give that a try, take some decent photos and send them off to a couple of the bigger sites. Thank you

It would sell privately at the right price, some folk never aspire to going in the show ring so it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. Maybe a local saddler who fits second hand might take it...and possibly be able to improve the marks?

My saddle fitter says that they are a very good make, especially the Falcon Hawk. You should have no issue in selling it. I have a Jefferies Falcon but not sure if its the Falcon Hawk model.

Thanks Birker - I was also under the impression that they were a reliable make so there must be someone out there it would be useful for. I'll send some photos and measurements off to the big saddles websites and see if any of them are interested. It's just sat in the corner of our bedroom at the moment and I really need the money and space. I wonder if I could force any buyer to also take a Wintec 500 Wide as a BOGOF.....;) I dislike that saddle so much and it is also taking up space! Not sure I could expect any actual money for that one though.
