Just wondered what people's opinion's were on the best places for selling a saddle? I need to sell mine, have advertised it at the local feed merchants, but no callers as yet. Does anyone know of any good websites to advertise on (other than eBay)? Or is it better to take it to a saddler and let them sell it for me? I need a good price as its a good saddle.

Just curious why not Ebay? Sold two saddles with Buy it Now prices within 48 hrs on Ebay. One collected it and paid cash and one sendt a coureir (!) and paid via Paypal - fantastic! Else try Horse and Hound (Tack under £500 is free) or maybe Horsemart.co.uk (small charge) or Equineadvertiser.co.uk (free) but Ebay was the one that worked for me. Also, big tackshops free classified section eg www.frogpool.com, TDS saddlers etc etc - good luck

I said not eBay as I'm going to try it anyway as it's the obvious one! The only thing is that most saddles seem to go really cheaply on there and I want to sell it for what its worth. Will just have to keep listing it on cheap listing days I guess and hopefully someone will be prepared to pay for a good saddle.

Jusr remember to put a reserve price on so that you don't have to sell it for far less than you want.

Ive tried Horse and hound and just got dodgy emails! Had saddles at saddlers for a year now and not sold! And they are good saddles sensibly priced but at least I dont have to clean them!!! I agree about ebay, they dont go for much and if its a good saddle then you want to get a good price. I suppose you just have to decide on a reserve and hope it sells.
