Does anyone know of an equestrian company that takes on consultants who sell their products from home? Similar to Body Shop where you order from a catalogue and earn commission?

I don't think you'd ever compete with the internet on that model. In comparison to something like toiletries (which everyone needs) your market is pretty tiny, and people often have such strong brand preferences you will struggle to sway them. It would only work if it was a way to sell popular products for less than people can buy online, which is unfortunately going to be impossible when you have added a middle salesperson into the chain.

there used to be one but it didnt last very long, its a hard thing to do and usually MLM that ends up annoying your friends and colleagues. Forever living is one that people take on and drop fairly quickly.

I know some of the big brands allow people to sell there products without having a shop to sell them in, I know this as a friend does it she sells the whittaker stuff and a few other known brands from her house.

I think it only works as an adjunct to something you are already doing out and about, which is related to the product. I know for example that the Pink Hoof Clay bloke is looking for farriers to carry the product and sell it from their vans, and a lot of my instructor friends work for a treeless saddle company. Even then, their markets are limited.
