I NEED to sell my horse, I have had him for sale on/off most of this year (in the middle part he went to what I hoped was a longterm loan home) he is now back with me. I do not have the time/money/confidence in my riding ability anymore to bring him on and therefore keep him.

Please dont think I am one of those people who buy a horse and then at the first sign of trouble gives up on them. I have had him for four years since he was two. We have had our difficulties with his behaviour and sarcoids and I have stuck with him to get these issues resolved.

I am now left with a very willing but extremely green 6yo (who acts like a 3yo)14.2hh NFxTB who has one small sarcoid on his sheath. He is spooky and occasionally silly but if you encourage him past something he will do it, (even if he does walk around it puffing).

If I cannot find him a home he will be turned way for the winter and it seems like such a waste as he is now starting to go nicely, and I wont be able to commit the time in the future needed to get him back into work.

He needs to be sold (rather than loan), as I cannot afford him coming back as he has this time as I now have a mortgage to pay.

So my question is where can I advertise him where he will actually have a decent amount of interest? Are there any reputable yards or individuals in the north devon area who would be willing to take him on for say a month to sell him on my behalf for a percentage of what he sells for? (I realise that this wont be much).

I do not want to sell him dishonestly as he doesnt deserve to be passed around. He's a sweet, dopey little chappie that just needs someone confident who can give him the time he needs. How do I word an advert to reflect that? The people ive had to view him so far have said they think he is either too green, or are put off by his sarcoid. Even though is states that he is green and has a sarcoid in his advert!

Any advice very greatly recieved.
