Selling on Ebay

Sorry i wasnt sure where to put this as there isnt really a category for my question

I sold my saddle on ebay last week and stated paypal only.
however the seller later messaged me saying she has been trying to get on paypal for a few days and it isnt letting her send payment and could she send a postal order?

So i replied saying it would be fine.

Finally got postal order today but im not sure what to do with it lol

as ive never been sent one beofre

Is it better to take it to the bank or post office?
One it has been cashed does it take time to clear?
I could take it to the post office today but dont want to post the saddle if the P/O takes time to clear... though the buyer does sound genuine

anyone able to help me with my question?

You can take it to your bank/building society and they will cash or bank it for you.... I have had a few and they look a bit monopoly money to me, but its all legal tender

I thing a postal order is as good as cash as you buy it at the post office- like a voucher.
I've used them to buy stuff before, but never actually received one, so not terribly helpful. Sorry!

Take it to the post office, with ID and thy'll give you the cash there and then.
