I need to sell 2 saddles that just don't fit current ponio. Both are clearly stamped under the flap with my postcode & I'll say so in the ads.
If you were buying, would that make a difference to price?

At the end of the day, a postcode is a postcode, people move house all the time! I'd say it is actually a 'bonus feature'... I'd just detail it on the reciept you provide too...

It is still an identification mark that would help the police identify it if recovered (and put off theives). If the buyer has a receipt for the saddle which says it is marked with that postcode then they can prove ownership.

I think if i was buying a saddle and it had a postcode/identification mark on it i would want proof that the owner actually owned the saddle.

Otherwise it isnt really a deterrent against theft. Im not sayng that the Op is not genuine.

A car log book can not really be likened to a postcode stamped on a saddle.
