I advertised my three saddles for sale on ebay this morning (had clearout over wkend ad decided I no longer have use for a brand new £1200 stubben jumping saddle that I only ever used once!) and I put them all on with no reserve, starting price 99p. Well, I also put "buy it now" prices on all of them (prices which I thought were fair, and below what they were worth). These showed up on the initial listings, but have since been removed. Ebay haven't contacted me to say why they were removed. I just wondered if in some small print somewhere it now states saddles can't have a buy it now price...

If you have no reserve and a buy it now , as soon as someone bids it automaticly removes the buy it now, however if you have a reserve it stays on until the reserve is met...
hope that helps.....

A reserve means more fees, I do the same as the OP and put the starting price at 99p with no reserve. I found out that the BIN disappears the hard way, no longer use it.

The saddle won't sell for cheap, you just mark the reserve by bidding up using another persons account...simples :)

Thank you! I thought I was going mad! Yes, They have had bids on. TBH I just want to sell them as they are sitting around not doing anything, and I've just had to shell out over £1000 for another new saddle! If they look like they are going for peanuts I will get my OH to 'rescue' them, but as long as I get half of what the stubben is worth, I will be happy.
