selling without passport

who can you report this to if you know of someone selling ponies with no passports and is it even worth reporting?!

Trading Standards are the first port of call.

I would probably contact Defra and askfor advice, they will know the best course of action.

Definitely Trading Standards as they are responsible for policing it and bring necessary prosecutions

This. Though I know of people who have been warned to apply for one. None ever fined.
I guess if a big dealing operation (or the guy behind the desk deciding has had a bad day ) this may change though!

Actually PandorasJar there have been several successful proscecutions through Court but namely of dealers rather than the private individual.

just tried trading standards and as you know have to go via the council they reckon it's not something they deal with will try Defra and probably get referred back to trading standards!

If trading standards says this just say they should read 504/2008 and you are reporting them to the Horse Passport Team at DEFRA and hope Andrew Bishop takes action
