Just got back from riding my horse to find this:
And to top it off she also has a girth gall
She damaged that bit of hoof months ago and the farrier filled it in with some filler stuff and it looks like the filler has just come away which means the shoe isn't being held on on that side.
My obvious worry is that she is going to stand on that bit of shoe and rip it off doing god knows what damage to hoof.
Any my farrier is on holiday and even if he wasn't last time similar happened it took me three weeks to get in touch with him
