Sending a saddle from the UK to the USA

Has anybody ever sent a saddle from the UK to the USA? How much did it cost or does anybody have any ideas what is the cheapest but safest way to do this or who to try and send it with?

have a look at www.parcels2go.com, you can put weight, dimensions of package and it will give you a few quote options - they seem to be very competitive and you can track the parcel all the way through its journey on line.

If you put the saddle in a box make sure you pack as closely as possible to the saddle as some couriers calculate costs by working on size of box not weight so you dont want to be charged for "empty space".

Not worth the hassle.

I have sent computers via DHL & UPS but they cost about £60 -£120.

I sold a saddle on Ebay to a lady in USA and that went via parcels2go. I can't remember how much it cost now but it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be but if it is one you have sold surely the buyer will pay?
