I sold a saddle on ebay and confidently said I would ship to the States. Eeek . Help. How do I do this cheaply / safely / without major hassle?!

Use a courier - that's generally the cheapest way to ship. I've sold saddles and sent them from England to the US and the most I've ever paid was £20. Our UK company ships stuff all over the world and the shippers we use are wonderful......and cheap!

The buyer is aware that they are liable for Custom charges?

Please could you let me have details of the company you use? Have got a few quotes but are almost as much as the saddle! I don't know anything about customs - surely not my problem once I've sent it?

Where in the country are you? We have an account with a shipper in Hampshire.

You must have gone to Parcelforce, if they are quoting you figures like that? That's outrageous!

We have generally used parcelforce - but it costs around £110

Unlike the USA or Canada, we don't have a economical method of shipping bulky items, insured to the the Americas.

Beware of sending by ground shipping - this takes 6 weeks and most USA peeps get very distressed by the time delay and can end up doing a chargeback on your PayPal account.
