Im doing this class tomorrow and im having a blonde moment.

Is it correct to wear spurs and carry a show cane?. I sometime ride in spurs ( horse somes ignore my leg when being asked to bend or to move over ) but i dont have a showing cane.

Would i be frowned upon if i didnt have one?.

If anyone has done a senior rider class and can offer any tips?

If your riding a horse over 148cm, then Spurs are a MUST. Its not a real Faux Pas not carrying a show cane but, it looks better to have one.

It depends on the show rules. Some shows do not allow spurs at all. If you are wearing spurs then you should also carry a cane. Is there anything in the schedule? If your horse doesn't need spurs, you will not lose the class because you are not wearing them!

Schedule says nothing and i havent shown before.

I doubt very much i will even be looked at twice but i want to be turned out as best i can.

I will go and buy a show cane right now before the shop shuts.

Thanks for your help im not really sure what to expect but i shall do my best.
